I am currently deep in post production on our eighth feature, Shamelessly ... The comedy/drama tells the story of a shy young woman who becomes a famous superhero, and stars Kierstyn Elrod, E. Lesley Youngblood, David Pintado, John Nania, Mike Muscat, Sharon Mahoney, Alex Vetangle, and many others.
Most filming for Shamelessly occurred in early 2007, with additional filming in 2008. Over an hour of scenes have been edited, perhaps half the movie in rough form, but there are a lot of special effects to be created. Over 55 hours of footage was shot for the film, including extra short film bits starring superheroes like Blade and The Black Widow.

I have been working on a new comic, The Chosen Ones. It's a comedy with dramatic bits in it, about a ragtag group of twentysomethings who become earth's only hope during an alien invasion. It's based on a series of screenplays I originally wrote starting in 2005, intending to create it as an animated series. I will be drawing new pages whenever I can. |
I've started a new little Youtube channel, OrangeCowDotOrg - an experimental home for silly little blog-type videos featuring just me. My Radio Man character is featured in some improvised comedy bits. I've also done silly dramatic readings of pop songs in the manner of Orson Welles. I've been doing standup comedy at Joker's Wild in New Haven, Connecticut, and might do some of my standup for this channel sometime in the future. My main Youtube channel is Ocpmovie, which features our features.
I've written fourteen screenplays and am always working on something new. My most recent screenplay was Frog Without a Soul, a comedy/mockumentary about a terrible 80s sitcom and the people whose lives it destroyed. At the moment I'm writing a new romantic comedy. I've also been working for awhile now on a very unusual novel set in an alternate near-future, about a female cartoonist who becomes a nearly-immortal silver-blooded ragdoll, and must take down a cult that's ensnared the entire world, while either helped or hindered by a boy with the mind of a messiah. If you haven't noticed, the plot is a little difficult to describe.
I occasionally write articles for The Editor's Guild Magazine and ACE CinemaEditor, interviewing the editors of Hollywood's biggest features and TV series, and should have a new piece in an upcoming issue which I'm very excited about.

Doctor Who Animations - Whosprites : There are 108 missing episodes of classic British sci-fi series Doctor Who - episodes aired in the 1960s where only the soundtrack now survives. Starting in late 2007, I decided to animate some of them. The character designs are strikingly realistic and detailed, and true to the look of the original actors and episodes.
The WhoSprites project got a great deal of attention, and was featured in The Guardian newspaper, SFX Magazine, the WIRED Magazine Blog, and screened publicly by the Kaleidoscope Organization and at the Gallifrey One convention in Los Angeles. The surviving second Doctor companions have expressed their approval - and my artwork has been featured at the official websites of Deborah Watling and Anneke Wills. |
