The PythoNET Heel of Approval Our Favorite Sites

As with any links page, many of the links may not be working. Last updated May 18, 2011.

Although I try quite seriously to include everything a Python fan could possibly want all in the space of one site, I understand all too well that half the fun of web dogpaddling is clicking about, waiting for pages to load that never do, crashing your system on geocities popup ads and encountering broken link after broken link. It's an internet person's only fun in life. So I've included a list of my own favorite sites, sites that have earned the coveted PythoNET Heel of Approval! And indeed, a large number of these sites are disturbingly wonderful. By clicking all over this page as often as I dare, I can see which sites have managed to top us, and steal from them. I also, more and more often, get to see which sites survive entirely by stealing from us. This list should serve you well too. If you have a site you think should be here, why not write me with the URL? I'm always open to new stuff. As for those of you completely different enough to be listed here, you're always free to display the snazzy graphic above (designed by myself and Mark Gumby) anywhere on your page. And remember... "If it's not PythoNET-Approved, it hasn't been approved by PythoNET!" Enjoy.

Useful Sites

Some of the Corpses Are Amusing Python Edit News Pages: For those wanting all the truly obscure information about Python, this is where to go - SOTCAA has enough to fill several books. Information you won't find anywhere else about what was cut out of the Python shows. Analysis of the original scripts versus the transmitted programs. And their usual delightfully angry commentary and swearing. The best writing about Python I've ever enjoyed.

Some of the Corpses Are Amusing: Not for the faint of heart or easily offended, SOTCAA is a highly opinionated, highly angry guide to British comedy. Joe and Mike are true scholars, and the work they do bringing obscure information about comedy series to light is truly amazing. They're clearly going to write a few books someday, but for now, this information is better than any book out there. A major inspiration for this site.
